Associate Producers
ABIGAIL ROKISON began her career as a professional actor, training at LAMDA. Her acting work includes numerous roles in theatre, film and television including Primrose Larkin in The Darling Buds of May. Following a degree with the Open University, she went on to take an MA in ‘Shakespeare: Text and Playhouse’ at the Globe Theatre/King’s College London. She completed her PhD at the English faculty at Cambridge University in 2006, after which she became lecturer in Drama and English in the Education Faculty in Cambridge and Director of Studies in Drama and English at Homerton College, Cambridge. In November 2008 she was elected chair of the British Shakespeare Association, helping to organise a number of Shakespeare-related events and conferences uniting actors, directors, academics and teachers. Her monograph, Shakespearean Verse Speaking, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2010. Her other publications include chapters and journal articles on The Globe Theatre, Propeller, David Tennant’s Hamlet, University plays of the 16th Century and Children’s Literature. She is currently acting as academic advisor on a LION/ PBS co-production – ‘Shakespeare, the Greatest Stories ever told’, online “Shakespeare expert” for Simply Charly in the US, and visiting Shakespeare specialist at the University of ICES in Roche Sur La Yon, France. Abigail works with the Cambridge/Homerton Research and Teaching Centre for Children’s Literature and is currently writing a book on Adaptations of Shakespeare for Children and Young People. Abigail is represented for presenting work by Sara Cameron at Take 3 Management.
SUSAN RONALD is an author and historian with over thirty years’ experience in project financing in the Creative Industries. She has advised five British Government departments, the Government of Abu Dhabi and the National Trust.
Susan has recently set up a film development company with Julie Daly-Wallman called Green Gaia Films (www.greengaiafilms.com) Wild Thyme Productions is our associate producer for several of Green Gaia Films’ projects, including 3 feature films, 2 documentaries and a web broadcaster.
The author of three non-fiction books, Susan is currently working on her second biography of Queen Elizabeth I and Shakespeare, and has written a novel based on her original research into Shakespeare’s ‘lost years’. She has written a screenplay entitled Shakespeare’s Daughter and has a major Shakespeare project in commissioning. Susan was the Chief Executive of The British Shakespeare Association, an umbrella charity uniting enthusiasts with theatre practitioners and academia from 2008-2010. She is also a Director of The Biographers’ Club, a UK charity that furthers the art of biography, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. www.susanronald.com
JULIE DALY-WALLMAN is a Film Producer. She is about to produce several films including ‘The Doom Chronicle; Elvis & Us and Pay The Devil.
Julie’s Production Company Green Eye Productions produced the highly acclaimed documentary Living with the Enemy (www.livingwiththeenemy.com); and she was Producer of the (Tribecca) award-winning movie The Crooked Mile (www.thecrookedmile.com). This was The First Jersey/Ireland Co-Production.
Her experience started in the Film Industry with Roger Corman, Hollywood icon of “B movies”. She has worked her way from assistant to Producer to Script Supervisor and has over 40 Film Credits (see a selection on IMDB International Database); and she has acquired a huge amount of experience on script development and on-set experience.
